Environmental Cooling Systems (ECS)
TOP

Monitoring air flow in aircraft ECS is critical to ensure the adequate cooling of critical areas, such as, the avionics manifold.

vent-captor is typically installed in the secondary air supply lines that lead to the avionics manifold, cargo areas and main cabin. The solid state output can be set over a wide flow range from 0.25-100 SPPS.

Oil Cooling Systems
TOP

Model 4204/4050.31 flow-captor monitors critical transformer cooling oil flow rate, and temperature on high speed train.

flow-captor is ideal because of its dual output capability, permitting the monitoring of flow rate and temperature of the dielectric heat transfer cooling oil.

Pulverized Coal Flow Detection
TOP

vent-captors are located in 1 inch diameter nozzles at 30 degree angles to the direction of coal flow.

The nozzles are open-ended to the coal feeder lines. As long as coal is flowing, a suction will be created and fresh air will be pulled into the suction line past the vent-captor.

if a coal feeder line is blocked, the vent-captor will signal the operator before any damage occurs to associated equipment.

Agitation Detection
TOP

flow-captor can be used to detect agitation in various processes. The flow-captor is calibrated to sense the difference in heat transfer properties between the still and agitated media, as well as the difference )between wet/dry & product interface conditions.

The flow-captor can be equipped with a dual output, one to detect agitation, the other Output set to shut off the agitator if the product level drops below a specified point.

Monitoring Product Flow for Pump Protection
TOP

Positive displacement and centrifugal pump systems can be saved from costly dry or low flow operation damage by monitoring flow with flow-captor type 4120.13.

flow-captor is effective in virtually all media, including slurries & viscous products.

Our flow-captor is easily incorporated into existing control circuitry to actuate pump shutoff in a low, or no-flow situations. By powering the flow-captor from the pimp contra circuit, the unit will also shut itself off along with the pump to prevent unnecessary dry operation and false alarming.

Water Flow Monitoring
TOP

In wastewater treatment plants, flow-captor helps ensure the correct amount of water is analyzed in order to determine the quantity of chemicals needed.

The no moving parts reliability of the flow-captor eliminates the possibility of human error resulting in plant failure and consequent damage.

Hot Metal Detection
TOP

  • Maintenance-Free
  • Shock &Vibration Proof
  • High Temperature Proof
  • Artificially Aged Infrared Diode
  • Long Service Life Range of Optics

Typical Applications:

  • Detect Hot Spots on Conveyors in Incineration Plants
  • Material Tracking in Steel Mills
  • Reliable Detection of Hot Metal Components

Radar Air Cooling Systems
TOP

vent-captor has long been used for industrial HVAC systems. Radar air cooling systems have demanded high reliability for air flow measurement and switching.

vent-captor is the perfect choice for this application, because of its no moving parts design and wide flow range for switching and monitoring.

Proximity Detection
TOP

  • Large Detection Distance
  • Complete Program for Innovative Problem Solutions
  • Shock & Vibration Proof
  • High Temperature Proof
  • Long Service Life
  • Switching or Analog Versions
  • Special Versions

Typical Applications:

  • Conveyor Control
  • Counting
  • Roller Controls
  • Edge- & Center Control of Coilers
